Below is a sample of some of my artwork. As I said in my "about me" I usually lean towards the 2D as my medium of choice (as is obvious). The two portraits are of myself and my sister, Ember. Both are full poster board sized and are two of my favorite pieces. The first one I did (of myself) was back in high school as a study of the famous Chuck Close. It was a spin off of his style of work and I liked doing it so much that I made another even larger one later my freshmen year here, at Pittsburg for a finals project.
The bio-hazard butterfly and the mushroom cloud / tree were two "free" drawings from the same class my first year. By "free" I mean that the parameters of the assignment were very broad and we were for the most part left to do what we wished. My unbridled work seems to come out a bit cynical or dark. (It is hard to see but there is also actually a skull on the bio-hazard butterfly) And even in the portraits I have lots of hidden messages and images that tend to be....unhappy.
So there is a look at some of my work, please leave a comment and let me know what you think about it! Thanks!
